KC Restaurant Week 2020
The best week in KC culinary is upon us! I had the opportunity to preview the Kansas City Restaurant Week menu at Ignite Wood Fire Grill, and per usual, it did NOT disappoint!
We were greeted with a selection of Robert Mondavi wine that has been curated specifically for the restaurant week menu at Ignite. Sauv blanc is my favorite white whine, so I happily enjoyed a glass (or three).
Next, I enjoyed a delicious Caesar salad with fresh cracked pepper—-hello, yum! But don’t worry, they have several other salad options on their menu if Caesar doesn’t suit your fancy!
The main course I chose was the wood-fired Atlantic Salmon, cooked medium (Chef’s recommendation). The salmon was paired with bulgur wheat, roasted mushrooms, broccolini, and braised radish, buerre monte. It was sooooo good! For those of who who are kicking off the new year on a healthy note, this dish is definitely for you! Plus, for my vegetarian readers, they have a vegetarian option—the wild rice bowl—and it was absolutely delicious.
Finally, I ended my three-course meal (for only $35) with a delicious cobbler a la mode. The seasonal fruit was a delicious blackberry/mixed berry that came out in a warm cast iron. With delicious vanilla ice cream on top, the dessert was a dream. I will say, though, I was a tad jealous of the others who indulged in the cheesecake with a granola crust and brandied cherries…
